A premium Android tablet that takes the fight to Apple’s iPad, but it’s not worth the list price

he Oppo Pad 3 Pro joins the growing ranks of premium Android tablets, with its obvious competitor being the £449 OnePlus Pad 2 (see issue 364, p86). The two are essentially identical other than their colour – here, your eyes are treated to Starlit Blue rather than the Pad 2’s grey.
At £499 with 256GB of storage, it’s also a rival to the 256GB iPad, which costs £479 – although, unlike Apple, Oppo doesn’t offer any other storage or cellular options. You’ll soon be able to partner the tablet with the Oppo Pencil 2 Pro stylus and a full Qwerty keyboard with kickstand, but neither is currently available to order.
