Bokeh in-between
Enhance the bokeh effect you get with lights by including out-of-focus highlights in the foreground and background. We created a ‘bokeh frame’ by twisting a set of Christmas lights around a piece of wire to create a frame to shoot through for highlights in the foreground. When shooting, hold the frame to the lens and use a wide aperture. (More on bokeh and fairy lights on page 50.)
