Use a tripod
16 YOU NEED to lock your EOS camera off completely on a tripod so the scene is nice and sharp throughout the long exposure, giving you long enough to move through the scene illuminating specific parts of it with your torches and or light wands. Use your Canon EOS camera’s Manual mode to set a shutter speed of 30 secs, and open the aperture to around f/5.6 or f/8 for a deeper depth of field, and ISO as low as it will go, usually ISO100 for the best image quality during longer exposures.
