Since they debuted with2015’s Tides, the addition of a guitarist has reinforced the potency of noise architects Downriver Dead Men Go. But on their third album they spend long periods on the more understated side of the quiet-loud axis. And that results in them leaving the listener waiting too long for the anticipated storm to break – if it does at all.
