For Solar Corona’s third full-length album, the trio of Rodrigo Carvalho on guitar and synths, drummer Peter Carvalho and bassist José Roberto Gomes are joined by Nuno Loureiro, whose role is described as ‘dubmechanic’. The result is an uneven affair. At its best, Pace serves up vigorous space rock jams, but it’s punctuated by abstract pieces lacking form and structure.
