Race days
Our 10K and half marathon runners have made it to the finish line! We find out how their training went, and all about their races
We met up with all our eight Run Your Way women on a damp Wednesday in September. We wanted to have a group hug – we have been so proud of their eefforts, and needed to tell them that face to face! Plus, run coach (and Women’s Running fitness editor) Tina had promised us a fun HIIT training session to work on our strength and our agility, giving us exercises that we could all do at home as part of our weekly training. After we’d worked up a sweat – and had a big slice of flapjack – we had a chat with all our lovely team to find out how training had been going before and after their race days.
Six of our Run Your Way team have now completed their training and their races successfully. Our 5K runners, Hannah and Catherine, ran their parkrun back in August (see Women’s Running September issue to find out more about that), our 10K runners Jo and Rosie, completed their race in September, while Connie and Stacey, ran their half marathon in October. Sarah and Anne’s marathon is yet to come…

Brooks Running made sure all of our eight women have been kitted out in spectacular gear that has made them feel great and run happy while they’ve been training for their distances. Meanwhile, fitness editor Tina and nutritionist Laura have advised and supported them to train well in the run up to their dates. At Women’s Running, we’ve been so inspired by all of our eight women – we have been truly humbled by their dedication and the sheer hard work they’ve put in.
