COLINDALE
UPGRADE: The first in a series of partial closures of the Northern Line between Golders Green and Edgware, to facilitate work on Colindale station, took place from April 2-11. £43.1million from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund has been allocated to Transport for London for the modernisation of Colindale and Leyton stations. Plans for Collindale, which will close between June and December as redevelopment gathers pace, include a new entrance (seen in this artist’s impression) and ticket hall, a lift providing step-free access from street to platform level, an accessible toilet, in-station retail space and improved cycle parking.
