‘TRACTOR’ MAKEOVER:
Following repainting into HNRC Swietelsky livery by UKRL at Loughborough, No. 37422 is seen at Kirkby-in-Ashfield, returning home from Loughborough to Worksop Down Yard on April 2. The Class 37/4 is among the majority of assets from Harry Needle Railroad Company being retained by Swietelsky following its takeover of the firm, however four Class 47s which were not part of the deal have been sold. No. 47703’s new owner is Nemesis Rail, while Rail Engineering Solutions has bought No. 47715 and intends to return it to main line use, installing an on-train data recorder, Train Protection Warning System (TPWS), GSM-Rcommunications and European Train Control System for its new role as a testbed locomotive. Nos. 47843 and 47847 are destined for use for parts by West Coast Railways.
