ST PANCRAS DEBUT:
In the early hours of March 28, nine-car London North Eastern Railway Class 800‘Azuma’No. 800108 made its way from Leeds, via Doncaster, Chesterfield and down the Midland Main Line to St Pancras.The first appearance of an‘Azuma’at the station, it was the initial step in assessing potential for the trains to use the London terminus when services are unable to reach King’s Cross during engineering work.
