TWO AT THE SEA: April 19 was day three of a sevenday private charter around the country organised by LSL chairman Jeremy Hosking, the train arriving at Llandudno that day behind ‘Peak’ No. 45112 The Royal Army Ordnance Corps. The following day, the train is seen ready to leave the seaside town for Oxenholme and Appleby behind No. 57002, which had been named Winston Churchill at Paddington on April 17 before leaving with day one of the tour. The ‘Peak’ is alongside, meaning there was a rare appearance of two locos at the Llandudno semaphores (see also page 51).
