“GOTTA a little bit of jitters,” confides frontwoman Karly Hartzman. “This is the biggest gig we’ve ever played.” Six albums and about a decade in, Wednesday’s steady ascent parallels lead guitarist MJ Lenderman’s solo breakthrough, the momentum of which has forced him to take a sabbatical from the band, with Jake “Spyder” Pugh deputising here. Lenderman hardly seems missed by a young, 3,300-capacity crowd, who match the surging energy of the band’s rise.
