STAR LETTER

SEEING THE INVISIBLE

Your ‘Focus-robbers’ article (June) hit home. My husband works abroad and I’m the sole carer for our young children. I average five hours of sleep each night, then spend 12 hours alone with a toddler. My revelation was reading that we ‘tell ourselves untruths’. I’ve been so preoccupied with feeling grateful we can afford a few hours’ help, I’d overlooked how I was on the verge of not coping and needed more help. I’ve stopped giving myself a hard time. Releasing myself from this invisible untruth has made things much brighter. Becky
