How to eat for BEAUTIFUL SKIN

So what are some of the factors in a plant-based diet that we can maximise for beautiful, healthy skin? And are there specific things we can eat or drink for certain skin issues, such as pimples or dry skin?

Essential fats

Essential fatty acids are one of the most important factors in creating strong, supple, well-hydrated skin. Not all fats are the same, and the desirable skin-supporting omega 3 fatty acids can be lacking in a vegetable-based diet if you don’t know where to find the best plant-based sources. Flaxseed (also known as linseed) is the best vegan option. I prefer to have flaxseed ground daily rather than take flaxseed oil, as the oil is quite unstable and can begin to go rancid before it leaves the shop shelves! Never heat flax as it will damage the oil. A couple of tablespoons of ground flaxseeds added to meals or a smoothie is enough to support skin health and reduce inflammation.
