Improving your core muscles significantly enhances your running posture and speed. Your core muscles, comprising the abdominal, lower back, and pelvic muscles, play a fundamental role in stabilising your entire body while you’re out running.
► Warm-up
Run with high knees on the spot for 20 seconds. Place your hands on your bum and run on the spot for 20 seconds, flicking your heals up towards your bum and hands.
► Sets & reps
Perform two sets of 10 repetitions each.
► Cooldown
Enjoy a full body stretch which includes your arms, back and legs.
