ANTHOLOGIES INVITING SUBMISSIONS
Thalia Press
Thalia Press is inviting short stories for two anthologies, Time after Time and an as yet to be titled cat murder mystery, writes PDR Lindsay-Salmon. Time after Time is a short story anthology targeted toward lovers of mysteries set in specific historical eras. Submit short stories, under 7,500 words, with a strong crime or mystery element and set in a time period other than the present. Cozy and dark stories are welcome. Include a bio under 200 words at the end of the story.
The second anthology needs short stories featuring cats. Both cozy and dark stories are strongly encouraged as this anthology will contain stories featuring a variety of tones, including noir. There are no requirements for the plot other than that it be mystery/crime fiction featuring one or more cats as an integral part of the plot. They seek dark or neo noir stories which contradict the stereotype of cat stories being primarily in the cozy sub-genre. Deadlines are August 31, and September 30, 2025.
