The public have some funny ideas about writers, says Lynne Hackles
Looking back, so much of the writing world has changed. I can no longer advise you to kiss the envelope your manuscript is in, for good luck, before you post it. Nearly all submissions are done via email. Now we have ebooks and audiobooks, not just hardbacks and paperbacks. Technology moves alone all the time and a lot of it helps writers, when it works properly. But some things will never change.
