Podcasting opportunity
Get Over It Productions performs plays twice a year and many go on to be reimagined as The Scene Podcasts. The company began life 16 years ago, has London residencies at Bread and Roses Theatre and the Chiswick Playhouse and has strong aims to ‘create opportunities for new narratives … to keep fringe theatre and new writing alive …and embrace the digital audience’.
From the large number of scripts the company receives each year a total of 30 are performed, giving theatre creatives the opportunity to practice their craft. The scripts are selected with the aim of ‘making room for new world views alongside the traditional’. There is a lot of interest in scripts from underrepresented groups and communities.
Submissions will be considered from UK-based writers and a single script per writer should be submitted. Plays must be 10-15 minutes long and contain no more than six characters. Diversity is encouraged. There are no deadlines as this is a ‘rolling opportunity’ says head of podcasts Sassy Clyde.
