SF winners
The Locus Science Fiction Foundation announced the winners on the 2021 Locus Awards in June. The Locus, are along with the Hugo Awards the most significant US awards for science fiction and fantasy. The winners were: Science Fiction Novel, Network Effect, Martha Wells; Fantasy Novel, The City We Became, NK Jemisin; Horror Novel, Mexican Gothic, Silvia Moreno-Garcia; Young Adult Novel, A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking, T Kingfisher; First Novel, Elatsoe, Darcie Little Badger; Novella, Ring Shout, P Djèlí Clark; Novelette, The Pill, Meg Elison; Short Story, Little Free Library, Naomi Kritzer (Tor.com 4/8/20); Anthology, The Book of Dragons, ed Jonathan Strahan; Collection, The Hidden Girl and Other Stories, Ken Liu; Magazine, Tor.com; Publisher, Tor; Editor, Ellen Datlow; Non- Fiction, The Magic of Terry Pratchett, Marc Burrows. Bill Campbell & Rosarium Publishing received a Special Award for Amplifying Diverse Voices.
