In our heartwarming cover feature back in March, a thankfully cancer-free Dave Mustaine told us that he hoped to have the new Megadeth album out by the end of 2020. The pandemic may have helped put those plans to the sword, but with another year’s worth of tinkering now under his belt, it’s probably safe to bet that the follow-up to 2016’s excellent Dystopia will be with us soon. “I think we’ve got 14 songs for this album and another folder with six,” Dave revealed in the interview. “The songs are constantly evolving.” Hinting that previously announced song titles such as Rattlehead, Part Two and The Dogs Of Chernobyl may not be sticking, Dave nevertheless seemed excited about the new music. You should be too!
