The ending of Jett: The Far Shore wasn’t really an ending. This bravely ambiguous final chapter left plenty unspoken and unresolved, its team of pioneers confused and despondent, forced to ponder their place and purpose in the universe before being cast back into torpor (cryosleep, if you’re unfamiliar with the game’s terminology). In some ways, it felt like an elegant solution to a practical problem; many read its abruptness as its maker having run out of time. The title of this 12- hour expansion, then, is fitting: Superbrothers and Pine Scented have been afforded the room to create something that isn’t quite a sequel but is a bit more than your average DLC.
