Why Swordship? After all, one of the defining features of Digital Kingdom’s wonderfully taut Roguelike dodge-’em-up is that you’re not equipped with a weapon. Yet, as a post-apocalyptic pirate, tasked with stealing cargo containers to deliver to unfortunates banished from Earth’s underwater megacities to the sun-blasted badlands above the surface, there is a swashbuckling cut and thrust to your illicit activities. Besides, you have other ways to fight back. Combining daring and dextrousness, you can get your enemies to attack one another – last-second darts and dives causing lasers, fireballs and bombs to hit their own kind instead. The best of these tricks result in a slo-mo cutaway, your ship foregrounded as mines and turrets explode behind you in classic action-movie style.
