Cetacean lovers have the chance to train as a marine mammal surveyor with whale and dolphin protection organisation ORCA. ORCA is running a oneday course at SAMS at Dunstaffnage on Saturday October 13 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
During the session people will learn how to identify and record whales, dolphins and porpoises during off shore surveys and how to interpret their behaviour. There will also be the opportunity to find out about the species that may be encountered in European waters. The course is open to over-16s and costs £79. Visit orcaweb.org.uk to find out more.
