The architects’ design for the proposed new extension to the hotel.
A planning application has been lodged for permission to extend the famous Glenfinnan House Hotel.
The project, designed by Oban-based architectural firm Fair Planning & Design, reconfigures the existing back-of-house and adds eight letting bedrooms to the side, along with improvements to the kitchen. This would increase the total number of letting bedrooms to 23 and the rear of hotel reconfiguration proposal would also see the two existing staff caravans replaced with purpose-built staff accommodation. If the application for full planning consent is approved by Highland Council, it is anticipated building work will start next year at the the historic hotel, parts of which date back as far as 1755.
