Prescription error
CURALEAF is one of the world’s biggest private clinics licensed to prescribe medical-grade cannabis for a range of conditions including chronic pain, mental health issues and cancer-related symptoms.
Its adverts, sometimes shown on primetime TV and all over social media, feature healthy, smiling patients sharing how their lives have been transformed by the drug. Its website says its specialist doctors will ask a short set of questions remotely to ascertain suitability before setting up a door-to-door delivery service.
If only more questions had been asked of property consultant Oliver Robinson (pictured) before he was allowed to embark on an escalating, nightmarish spiral into legalised addiction that left him bankrupt and isolated from his loving family. He was found dead in November 2023, aged 34, from a suspected suicide.
