LEEDS RHINOS breathed life into their season and now sit within touching distance of the play-offs after turning in an impressive attacking display to annihilate Hull FC on their own ground and produce their biggest ever win over the Black and Whites in Super League.
It was an end to end and hard-fought contest in the first half and Leeds led by just six points with half-an-hour remaining.
But what unfolded in the final 30 minutes would have surprised even the most confident Rhinos fan as their team cut loose with seven unanswered tries to inflict the heaviest defeat of Brett Hodgson’s tenure at Hull.
It was a vital game for the Rhinos in the context of their season, with a win seeing them move to within just three points of sixth placed Hull, who fell to their fourth straight defeat and were left embarrassed by their second-half showing.
Kruise Leeming was outstanding at dummy-half and orchestrated the onslaught on the back of tremendous go-forward through the middle, with the speed of the ruck too much for Hull to handle, and he was supported well by halves partners Blake Austin and Aiden Sezer, with Richie Myler slotting back to fullback seamlessly.
