WARRIORS TOO GOOD FOR TRINITY
WAKEFIELD TRINITY 22
WIGAN WARRIORS 46

IF anyone ever asks what a gulf in class looks like, just show them Wakefield and Wigan.
Without ever really getting out of second gear, the Warriors put almost 50 points on their West Yorkshire opponents, who themselves posed questions of Wigan, but just not enough.
Led by Bevan French, Jai Field and particularly Liam Byrne, whose runs were devastatingly impressive down the middle, Trinity were simply outclassed.
The form of both these sides heading into this one could not have been more different.
Wakefield had just been thrashed 74-10 by the Salford Red Devils in one of the shocks of the season whilst Wigan were revelling in a big win over Toulouse.
However, with Toulouse comfortably beating Hull KR on Saturday, Trinity were just four points ahead of the French side in the table whilst the Warriors were hunting a top-two finish.
Kyle Evans debuted for Wakefield with Tom Lineham dropped, whilst Brad O’Neill and Kaide Ellis missed out for the Warriors.
