If you have a High Dynamic Range (HDR) USB-C display, connect your iPhone using a
USB-C cable supporting USB 3.1 or higher then alter the settings to get the most out of it. Just open the Settings app, tap Display & Brightness and select the display you’re using. When you turn on Allow Display
Mode Changes, the frame rate and dynamic range will adjust.
Introduced in 2012, the Lightning
connector has long been a key part of the iPhone range.
Apple wanted it to remain that way despite switching to USB-C – the standard adopted by practically every other manufacturer – with its laptops and iPads. But the European Union (EU) had other ideas. forcing the company to ditch Lightning in favour of USB-C for the iPhone too, even though the Cupertino giant said “innovation would be stifled by the proposal”.
