Obstetric scanning for Oban

FROM this week women in Argyll and Bute accessing the obstetric scanning service can be scanned closer to home thanks to a new service in Oban.

The new service, which started on Monday April 10 is run from Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban and has been a much longed-for facility in the area.

Jaki Lambert, consultant lead midwife for the area, explained that women would previously have travelled to Glasgow to be scanned and the team is excited now to be able to offer this in the local area.
