APPIN and Lismore have struck on previously untapped resources to keep its ‘cared for’ residents at home and ‘in control of their own care’.
After the majority of local councils, including Argyll and Bute, revealed this week in a national survey that they were struggling to find an answer to an ageing population and a lack of carers, Appin Community Trust (ACT) and Lismore Community Council (LCC) believe they might have a good solution for communities who want to take the matter into their own hands.
