Fort William man receives 120 hours’ unpaid work

A 23-YEAR-OLD Fort William man who admitted sexually assaulting a woman has been sentenced to carry out 120 hours of unpaid voluntary work.

Andrew James Farquhar, of Alma Road, Fort William, appeared at the town’s Sheriff Court last Tuesday, for sentencing by Sheriff Eilidh MacDonald.

In May, Farquhar, who was a 21-year-old student at the time of the offence, pleaded guilty to sexual assault charges which occurred on September 6, 2015.
