Lochaber boundary split fears

THE AREAS covered by two Lochaber community councils will be split in half if proposed boundary changes are approved.

Kilmallie, and Spean Bridge, Roy Bridge and Achnacarry community councils could see their area divided between Argyll and Bute and Lochaber, and Inverness and Skye constituencies.

Christine Hutchison, chairwoman of Kilmallie Community Council, attended a public hearing on the proposed changes at the Town House in Inverness on Monday, with Lyn Kilpatrick who spoke on behalf of Kilmallie Community Council.
