Green Machine match called off

BT West Division One

Irvine P

Oban Lorne P

OBAN Lorne’s 1st XV fixture away to fellow league strugglers Irvine was postponed on Saturday due to a lack of available front row in the Oban squad as a result of injury, holidays and work commitments.

The decision was made to postpone the fixture late last week with the agreement of the West Regional League Committee and acceptance from Irvine RFC.

Saturday’s postponement shows the lack of depth the club are currently experiencing up front with the same few players called upon each week to take up positions within the front row. While healthy numbers exist in other areas of the squad, a match cannot go ahead in West Division 1 without both sides fielding a strong and experienced front row.
