HOW JOURNALISM WORKS
DOWN-on-her-luck former model Katie Price is currently touring theatres with fellow former tabloid fixture Kerry Katona, in a show in which the pair trade stories about the various unpleasant scandals they have been caught up in over the years.
On 24 September, Price informed the audience at St George’s Hall in Bradford of the identity of a TV presenter she claims raped her more than two decades ago, but the media failed to pick up on it. She did it again, unnoticed, on 5 October at Grimsby Auditorium, and then once more on 13 October at the Stockport Plaza – but this time Telegraph feature writer Guy Kelly was there to write a colour piece about the evening. He, however, failed to clock the significance of the revelation, mentioning it only in passing in paragraph 24 of his article (without naming the man in question).
