SANS GILL
SENIOR Reform figures have been tying themselves in knots over the recent conviction of Nathan Gill, the party’s former leader in Wales, for accepting bribes from Russian sources in return for peddling pro-Russian narratives. Gill is due to be sentenced in late November.
Some senior Reform figures have tried to maintain Trappist-style vows of silence, or have performed contortions worthy of an acrobat, trying to claim Gill was only a “marginal” figure in the party. But Gill was a prominent figure in Reform’s previous guises, leading Ukip in Wales, and for over five years was a Ukip and Brexit Party MEP.
