The Reading Agency has launched its Digital Summer Reading Challenge with the theme of Silly Squad.
The Reading Agency’s Summer Reading Challenge for children aged 4-11 is running early in response to COVID-19 to keep children reading and support parents and carers with children at home.
The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to read for pleasure during the long summer holiday, when research has shown their reading is likely to dip without regular access to books. This year, with school life disrupted, the Reading Agency’s aim is to run the Reading Challenge digitally to provide parents, carers and children with fun, family-friendly activities, maintain children’s literacy levels and provide a safe space where children can connect with each other.
