Julie’s Library is a new book podcast for children aged 4-10 by legendary actor Julie Andrews and her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton. Julie has written more than thirty children’s books, some co-authored with her daughter, including the Very Fairy Princess series and Mandy. Publishers Weekly report that the first six episodes were recorded before the Covid-19 pandemic, with the first six episodes released weekly from 29 April. A further fourteen episodes are set to follow, though producers Tracy Mumford and Elyssa Dudley said that, ‘We are playing it by ear given the current circumstances, but we hope to have more stories out for listeners soon after these first six episodes are published.’
The podcasts feature book readings, conversation with guests such as Mac Barnett, Kai Cheng Thom, Meg Medina, Christine Baldacchino, and Michelle Knudsen and a section on vocabulary.
