TOTAL FILM WINGMAN
TF’S CINEMATIC AGONY UNCLE HAS YOUR BACK.
DEAR WINGMAN
I can’t be the only one who feels disappointed with watching big new films from ‘the comfort’ of my own home. I’ve done my best to recreate the cinema experience in my home with comfy seats and popcorn; I even bought a projector! But still it can’t be done. It is clear that the cinema is an unexplainable phenomenon, but I would still like to know, is there anything else I could be doing to bring the joy of cinema to my home? Or do you have any advice on ways I can improve my homeviewing experience?
EOIN KELLY, DUBLIN
WINGMAN SAYS...
If you have the means, you could look into things like soundproofing and blackout blinds for a more cocoon-like ambience, or sticking up a few signs that show where the loos are (possibly a bit redundant in your own home, but still). Quick PSA: whatever home-viewing improvements you’re considering, please be mindful of ventilation; better to be short of nacho dip than breathable air.
