Produced by Fangoria magazine, this post-apocalyptic horror is suitably splatter-heavy (alt title: Brain Slasher), but a wasteland when it comes to fresh ideas (it takes The Time Machine, Total Recall and Mad Max and adds tractors) and fun. Even a furrycrossbow-wielding Bruce Campbell seems adrift amid the subterranean mutant mayhem, which stutters to a twist so well-worn, the real surprise is they had the gall to go there. Campbell’s charisma gets a better airing in the archive festival footage.
