Chicago-born Paul Johnson began DJing when barely into his teens and by 16 was producing tracks for Chicago house labels. Confined to a wheelchair since 1987, his biggest hit came with 1999’s house anthem “Get Get Down”. He was namechecked in the song “Teachers” by Daft Punk, who cited him as a vital influence.
