SHEILA BROMBERG
Beatles harpist
(1928-2021)
When Sheila Bromberg arrived at Abbey Road in March 1967, she had no idea she was about to become the first woman to play on a Beatles record and didn’t even recognise Paul McCartney. As well as playing the harp on “She’s Leaving Home”, her other session work included the Bee Gees, Dusty Springfield and Heatwave’s “Boogie Nights”.
