HIT THE TRAILS
Many women runners report a higher feelgood factor from running on trails, being away from the world and from being closer to nature. What are you waiting for…?
Words Laura Fountain
Running gives us a sense of liberation and a pride in what our bodies can do. Being out on the trails only heightens this
If you’re a regular pavement pounder who is used to doing all of your training on the roads, trail running can help you shake up your routine, get outside in some much-needed green space and give your body a different challenge.
Some runners prefer to do their runs on softer ground and so opt for the grassy parts of the park and head for the trails when they can. If you’re used to doing all your runs on tarmac and concrete, you’ll find the transition to the trails a little harder but it will have many benefits for your running.
