GET INTO AGENDA
Agenda is a British poetry journal run by poets for poets. The editors opened to submissions on 1 January and they are seeking submissions of poetry in all its forms. Read the guidelines carefully, especially about formatting. The poetry editor dislikes ‘Oversentimental, cliché-ridden poetry; poetry with dumdidum rhymes that boss the poet into using particular words just for the sake of pat rhymes; poetry that is badly crafted and too prosaic, and poetry that does not come from the heart.’ She prefers honest poems written with care for language and meaning.
