The first aircraft for Bolzano, Italy-based start-up, Sky Alps, was spotted at Bristol, UK, bound for its new owner. The ex-Flybe de Havilland Canada Dash 8-400, G-ECOK (c/n 4230) – now registered as 9H-BEL – is one of two of the type, the other being 9H-EVA (c/n 4237) – formerly G-ECOO – on long-term lease from Chorus Aviation Capital. Both turboprops will be operated by Maltese-based LuxWing under its air operator certificate (AOC). Sky Alps was planning to kick off fare-paying rotations as Airliner World went to press, linking Bolzano with destinations across Italy, Spain and Germany.
