Hello and welcome to your August 2021 edition of Airliner World. For many readers, in the Northern Hemisphere at least, this is traditionally a time of year when passports are primed and suitcases selected for a much-anticipated summer getaway. Global events have rather got in the way of the usual pilgrimage to more exotic climes, leaving many of us resigned to a slightly more modest holiday closer to home. While political, societal and economic debates continue to rage over ‘would’ve, could’ve, should’ve’ approaches and counter-approaches to the crisis, the harsh reality is that it’ll be a little while yet before most of us step back on board an international flight.
