Siduction 2024.1.0
Nate Drake has been hobnobbing with Siduction’s developers to inform you about all this Debian-based distro has to offer.
IN BRIEF
This OS represented a considerable upgrade over regular Debian testing, with support via a manual, IRC channel and user forum. There were some glitches installing software but nothing too serious.
Like MakuluLinux (see p.22), Siduction is based on the testing branch of Debian. The latest version is available with the LXQt, Xfce and KDE Plasma desktops. But after choosing the spin running Plasma 6, we noted that it uses X11 instead of Wayland. This is ostensibly due to issues with choosing the correct keyboard layout when using Calamares.
