Classic Retro Modern Magazine

6 numeri all'anno   |  English
2 Recensioni   •  English   •   Aviation & Transport (Automotive)
From €4,00 per numero
Classic.Retro.Modern. is the start of something special. A new monthly magazine focusing on established, emerging and modern classics. The cars of the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and ’00s might be familiar, but the stories we tell will be anything but. Classic.Retro.Modern. isn’t here to fit in.

Every month, our readers can expect superb writing, great photography, quality print, excellent design, and an ability to think differently. The cars will be accessible, attainable, and relevant. Our mix will be eclectic. Discover the joys of owning a Reliant Regal before turning over to read about why you should be considering a Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk 5. The Jaguar E-Type rubbing shoulders with the Vauxhall Calibra. The Mini 1275 GT sharing space with the Fiat Panda Mk1.

Classic.Retro.Modern. is fresh enough to appeal to young drivers taking their first tentative steps in the world of classic cars. Established to appeal to knowledgeable enthusiasts who have seen (and read) it all. The magazine will be as at home on a coffee table as it is at a local ‘cars and coffee’ event.

On-sale monthly, it’s packed with classic cars. Regulars such as buying guides, reader restorations and news will be accompanied by drive stories and features designed to excite, inform, and enthuse. Classic.Retro.Modern. will be printed on high-quality paper and filled with great photography and superb design.

The team has a long and successful track record, consisting of Ian Robertson as Publisher, Richard Dredge in as Editor and Gavin Braithwaite-Smith taking the role of Deputy Editor, alongside other well-respected contributors. And that’s all backed up by a group of incredibly talented classic car nuts that look after the design, website and behind the scenes, it’s very much a case that we’ve assembled our dream team.

Classic Retro Modern Magazine

March/April 2026 On the evidence of our latest issue, we really do like to be beside the seaside. Some dry weather would be welcome, but if the start of 2026 is anything to go by, we may need the services of an ark before long. Roy has even chosen the colour of drizzle for the cover. The wet conditions didn’t stop Daniel Bevis enjoying a Mk1 Toyota MR2 along the soggy Sussex coast – though spare a thought for photographer Simon Thompson, who faced the elements head-on to capture the shots. Elsewhere, our Picture Past is a car ferry special: a period photo extravaganza from a time when crossing the Channel felt more exotic than a bottle of Yugoslav Riesling at the Berni Inn. And in an unlikely twist, we explain how Margate Pier could have played a part in rebuilding the reputations of Fiat and Lancia during the 1980s. Moving inland, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Renault 14, defend the legacy of the Ford Scorpio, and revisit a Belgian coachbuilder you may have forgotten. Georgiana Buckingham-Smythe returns with more Celebrity Squares, darling; Dimitri Urbain selects six of the best Simcas; Rich Duisberg compares Morgan to his greenhouse; and Saab takes centre stage in Sheds Heaven. All of this – plus words from our correspondents, updates from the editor’s barn, your classics, and a new electric car you might actually like. We can’t promise sunshine, but issue 39 should provide some entertainment while you’re sheltering from the rain.

It's a work of art

Look forward to every issue. It's beautiful, finely crafted and I love the old adverts in between. I can't wait until every issue arrives. Recensito 29 aprile 2022
