Gmail has added an AI tool that searches your emails for ‘most relevant’ rather than most recent.
This means it tries to guess what you’re looking for based on “click behaviour”, such as how often you’ve opened an email, or whether it’s from a person you often contact by email.
Google claims it’ll mean the “emails you’re looking for are far more likely to be at the top of your search results – saving you valuable time and helping you find important information more easily” (see www.snipca.com/54296).
But some users have complained that it’ll lead to Gmail inaccurately guessing what you’re looking for.
