CASE UPDATE
Grain Connect says it won’t charge for engineers’ visits
Internet provider Grain Connect (www.grainconnect.com), which operates in northern and central England, has confirmed to us that it doesn’t charge customers for engineer visits to fix problems with its service. We rang to check after Grain told one of our readers, Mr Green, he would have to pay £75 to restore his internet connection (see Issue 718). Providers are only allowed to charge for visits if the problem was caused by the customer.
