Wendy Evans polishes her imaginary Jag for some classic car shot techniques
A classic car show is a great place to get some photos of gorgeous-looking, vintage vehicles that you might otherwise never see, much less be able to afford. There A are two approaches to take, which depend largely on what access you have to the vehicles. In the image above, there’s a car in a garage setting, such as you might find in a museum. The lighting comes from a warm, tungsten source through the window on the right, which contrasts with the overhead lights and the window lights reflected in the polished metal. The White Balance is set for daylight and those exterior lights, resulting in the tungsten light from the right having a lovely warm aspect.
