GET CARTER (1971)
Gateshead’s Trinity Square was officially the UK’s best-loved Brutalist car park, thanks to its role in Mike Hodges’ Michael Caine gangland classic. Sadly, this bleakly beautiful icon was demolished in 2010, despite protests from Sylvester Stallone (star of 2000’s remake), who pleaded: “Please don’t tear that thing down.”
